Who We Are

We are a multi-racial and multi-cultural community of faith, comprised of people from many places and many walks of life. Our members come to us from a wide variety of faith traditions. What holds us together is our church's historic covenant "to walk together in the way of our Lord Jesus Christ." Our commitment to travel together on our Christian journey leads us on an exciting pilgrimage where we broaden our horizons, stretch our imaginations, deepen our understandings of ourselves and others, and engage the holy work of breaking down social barriers and working for equal justice for all people. We believe that our faith in God calls us to be involved in the life of our wider community. Because of this, our facility is used by many community groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous and Community House which serves persons with mental disorders. Our property also houses the Lil’ Critters Preschool, the Christian Counseling Center, Elder House, and Quinlan Cottage Halfway House, a community-based residential program for women recently released from incarceration and reunited with their children. Quinlan Cottage Halfway House is operated by N.E.O.N. and supported by the state. During tax-preparation time, AARP offers free advice for seniors in the community in the church building. Our Parish Nurses offer blood-pressure screenings and health advice after worship services on Sunday mornings.
